STREAMLINE YOUR MINISTRY

Helping maximize your time, resources, teams, and budget so you can reach furtherβ€”faster. Less guesswork. More ministry.

Here's a scene you already know by heart. A guest walks in the door on a Sunday morning. Maybe it's the first time. Maybe they've been coming for a month and they still don't know how to get plugged in. They liked what they heard. They want to do something β€” fill out a form, sign up for a group, give, ask a question β€” and they have no idea where to go.

So what do they do? Nothing. They walk out the same way they walked in, and the moment's gone.

That's not a guest problem. That's a systems problem. And it's fixable β€” not with more programs, not with a bigger budget, not with another announcement from the stage. It's fixable with one link.

The goal is one link, not one more download

Here's the thing β€” we love to tell people "download our app." It feels like the win. It isn't. For a first-time guest, that's a huge ask. They don't know you yet. They're not handing over storage space on their phone for a church they visited once. Asking somebody to download your app in week one is like asking them to marry you on the first date.

What guests are far more likely to do is scan something or tap something, because it costs them nothing. No app store, no account, no password. Just a page that shows up and tells them exactly where to go next.

So the goal isn't more digital real estate. It's one page. One page everybody on your team knows, points to, and trusts β€” the same way you'd trust a front door. And I wonder: if you asked your greeters, your welcome desk, your ushers, and your kids' check-in team where a guest should go to connect, would they all give you the same answer? If they can't, neither can your guests.

Get it in their hands: QR codes and NFC tags

You've got about ninety seconds of a guest's attention before they're back on their phone, checking texts, and wondering where the bathroom is. Don't make them go looking for a way to connect β€” put it in front of them.

  • The back of the chair or seat. Right at eye level while they're sitting there listening.
  • The welcome desk. Big, obvious, impossible to miss.
  • Guest service lanyards. Your team is already walking around wearing the answer.

QR codes are the simple version β€” anybody with a phone camera can scan one. NFC tags (the same tap-to-pay technology in your wallet) are the smoother version β€” a guest taps their phone against a card or sticker and the page just opens, no camera app required. A few church-specific tools built exactly for this:

Worth a look if you want something purpose-built instead of a generic QR generator. You can also purchase NFC stickers on Amazon and build yourself to help keep costs down.

Either way β€” QR or NFC β€” the tech isn't the point. It's just the door. What's behind the door is what matters. Pro tip: Do both -- Print NFC stickers or tags with a QR code on the front.

Give it somewhere to go: the landing page

Here's the truth: a QR code that leads to your homepage is a QR code that fails. Nobody wants to hunt through a full website mid-service. What they need is one simple page with the handful of things a person actually needs on a Sunday:

  • The connect card or "I'm new here" form
  • Upcoming events worth knowing about
  • A giving link
  • Message notes
  • Group or serve opportunities
  • Anything else that's genuinely time-sensitive that week

That's it. Not your whole ministry. Not your staff bios. Just the next step, laid out so a tired volunteer β€” or a distracted guest β€” gets it on the first look.

Some of the options above include a landing page, but if not or you want something different, there are a few tools that make this easy to build and just as easy to keep updated:

There are plenty more options out there. Before you pick one, think through cost β€” some are free with paid tiers for more links or better analytics, some run a monthly fee no matter what β€” and design flexibility, because this page should look and feel like your church, not like a template with your logo pasted on top. If it feels generic, people notice, even if they can't say why.

Make it branded: get a subdomain

Here's what I love β€” once you've got the page built, don't hide it behind some tool's default web address. Set up a subdomain instead: something like next.yourchurch.com or connect.yourchurch.com.

Why does this matter?

First, it's memorable β€” you can say it out loud from the stage and people can actually type it in, no QR code required.

Second, it protects you. Tools change. Platforms get acquired, redesigned, sunset. If you ever need to switch from one link-page tool to another, your branded subdomain stays exactly the same β€” you just point it somewhere new on the back end. Nobody has to reprint a single sign.

It's a small technical move with a big payoff: it says we thought about this, and it means the link on the back of every chair still works five years from now.

One page. One answer. Every time.

Imagine the clarity you bring by offering every person who attends your services each Sunday one simple step.

First time here? β†’ Tap or Scan the QR code.
Sign up for New Here Gathering? β†’ Tap or Scan the QR code.
Ready to join a small group? β†’ Tap or Scan the QR code.
Want to make a donation β†’ ...
you get the idea.

Put the access point in their hands β€” QR code, NFC tag, whatever gets a phone open fastest. Send it to one clear, focused page with exactly what they need that week. Brand it with a subdomain so it's memorable and durable.

This one's practical, and it's fast. You could have a first draft of your connect page live before next Sunday. Build the page, get a QR code or NFC tag in front of people this week, and watch how much easier it gets for your guests to take the next step β€” because you finally made it easy to find.
